3 places to eat in the Heights

I’ve always loved exploring my city, Houston. It is so fun to find new places to go on adventures and find new places to eat. I am so glad I live in a city that is so big that there is always something to do. With all the adventures I have gone on I decided to create a new series, H-town takeover. This post is about places to eat in the Heights
I found a few fun places to dig into: Barnaby’s Cafe, Lola and Gelazzi. All these places are so cute and all so different.
Barnaby’s Cafe:

We got the macaroni and cheese, spicy chicken wontons and the waffle fries. The fries were honestly so good, like better than Chick-Fil-A good. I loved the atmosphere, it felt like you were at an old school dinner with a modern twist.

Now we tried here because of the somewhat healthy options and the neat aesthetic. Jeremy got chicken and waffles and I got an AMAZING cob salad!!

Both dishes were phenomenal and the staff there are so nice and friendly. The whole place is just such a neat experience from the writing on the ceiling to the food. This is a great place to grab a healthy lunch or some yummy comfort food.

Gelazzi:

This is the cutest little gelato shop I have ever seen. It is small but so cozy- they also have a neat backyard picnic table type area that I couldn’t quite get a photo of because it was too dark. But the gelato was amazing. I got dark chocolate gelato and it tastes so good. It was almost like eating a brownie. The texture was unreal.

I have loved being a tourist in my own city, finding new and unique places has become a passion of me. If you go to any of these places or find your own places share it on social media using #RebekahBlogsHTownTakeover
