Spa day

Now this is a littler different than the post I usually post, but let’s just see how this goes.

Here’s how to have an amazing home spa day while only using three items. All you’ll need is some honey, lemons, and green tea.

IMG_5451Just cut the lemon in half. One-half for the spa activities and the other half for some energizing lemon water!

Now for the other half of the lemon you’ll use for a face mask.

Put some honey on half of a lemon and you rub it on your face and leave for 10 minutes or you can use the recipe below for a more paste-like substance and keep it on for about 20 minutes. Remove both with a cold washcloth.

1/2 tsp of lemon juice

1/2 tsp of honey

1/2 tsp of baking soda

The honey soothes your skin to soften it and the lemon juice and baking soda will help remove acne.

I love taking baths to help unwind. Add about three or four bags of green tea while your tub fills up. The tea helps balance your skin for anti-aging and skin softening. But, it smells really good. I added bubble bath mix to the bath, just because, but that’s an optional step.

All of these items don’t even cost 5 dollars, it’s such a simple and cheap way to pamper yourself and with the honey and tea you will have enough for multiple uses. Pampering on a college budget is easy when you shop smart.

  1. Just bought the giant box of green tea from Kroger, so I’m totally going to try it in the tub! I’ve done green tea on my face but never never thought to do it on my entire body! Thank for the idea!

  2. I love lemon water! The last time I was at the spa, they gave me cucumber lemon water and it was so refreshing that it inspired me to make it at home, too.
