A to B

I love the song “Trust in You” by Lauren Daigle and when I hear the lines:

When You don’t move the mountains
I’m needing You to move
When You don’t part the waters
I wish I could walk through
When You don’t give the answers
As I cry out to You
I will trust, I will trust
I will trust in You

I just get so emotional, honestly. That is so powerful and convicting. I love the whole song, but for me in this stage of my life those lines are so convicting.

God doesn’t work in OUR timing and OUR plan. He works in HIS timing and HIS plan and that is SO much better than anything we could plan out.

When I’ve talked to my mom about this she says it the best way:
If God told us how to get from A to B we would be living to get to B instead of just living life. You would be constantly obsessed with getting to B and taking your life in your hands instead of letting it be in Gods’ hands.

How powerful are both of those things? What my mom said and what Lauren’s song said,

God works in amazing ways. He does things we will never understand and He does it all in His timing. Trusting God is so hard sometimes and being patient is so difficult, but this song and my mom completely get it.

Trusting God and sticking with Him is easy when things are good, but when its up in the air, when you feel like He is not there. That is when it is hard to trust Him.

But, I will trust in Him.
