As I prepared for Sunday’s small group lesson I started to realize how much it spoke to me. I think it is just so awesome how God can speak to you when you’re not even looking for it.
The lesson is in Psalm 33. It is all about the things God has done for David and how he shows God appreciation and what God shows him on a daily basis.
It really just took me aback. It really gave me an a-ha moment. God has given me so much love and has shown SO much faithfulness that sometimes I forget to praise Him for it.
God’s love in unfailing, it is pure and true. Sometimes I don’t think about it enough in my daily life to truly appreciate it.
2015 was a big year for me. I turned 18, graduated high school and started college. But, through all of these big changes God stayed consistent and faithful even when I wasn’t.
When I felt unworthy God showed me my worth. When I felt unloved God showed me, unfailing love. When my eyes weren’t on Him, He patiently waited and placed people and events in my life to help direct my sight.
He has done so much for me, especially in 2015. I know that He has some major plans for 2016 and this lesson was such a great reminder to not only trust God with my future but thank Him for the amazing past.
Whatever God has in store for me this year I will be ready and I know that He will walk with me.
